Yassine Sassi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology at Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, Roanoke, Virginia, United States. Applicants should hold a PhD or MD/PhD degree with less than four years of postdoctoral experience and have research interests in cardiac and/or pulmonary diseases. Candidates should be enthusiastic about collaborative and interdisciplinary research, be highly motivated to develop as independent scientists, have a strong work ethic, and demonstrate excellent scientific and communication skills. The candidate is expected to participate in research grant preparations, manuscript writing, and presentation of research results at international conferences. Expertise in the following areas is advantageous: in vivo models of cardiovascular and/or pulmonary diseases, mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, and histology.
