Yasmin Yusuf,MHA, is the Administrator for the Center for Patient Safety and Quality forMedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Yasmin received hermaster’s degree in Health Administration and Policy with a concentrationin Quality and Risk Management. She started her career at MedStarGeorgetown in 2009 and has worked with various departments in an effort to enhancethe patient experience with an emphasis on quality and safety. Yasmin hasassisted in the administration of the patient safety event management system.In Addition, she has assisted MedStar Georgetown in the journey to become ahigh reliability organization (HRO) by training leaders, associates and medicalstaff in HRO: Error Prevention. Yasmin’s continued involvement withpatient safety projects include serving as a steering committee Co-chair forthe Patient & Family Advisory Council for Quality & Safety (PFACQS)which was established in 2014 at MedStar Georgetown.
