Yaser Abu El Sameed MBBS, FCCP

Yaser Abu El Sameed, MBBS, is a Staff Physician in the Respiratory & Clinical Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr Abu El Sameed was a Pulmonary Consultant Physician and the Director of the Interventional Pulmonology Program at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi. In addition to his clinical experience, Dr Abu El Sameed was also an Assistant Professor at Brown University in Rhode Island.

Dr Abu El Sameed specializes in advanced pulmonary procedures focused on complex airway and pleural disorders, including mediastinal lymph node sampling using endobronchial ultrasound guidance, peripheral pulmonary nodule biopsy using electromagnetic navigation, airway tumour ablation using electrosurgery and APC, and endobronchial valve placement for the management of emphysema and bronchopleural fistulae. For pleural disorders, he performs medical thoracoscopy, pleural biopsy, and long-term indwelling pleural catheters insertion, among others. He is American Board certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
