Yaniv Bar-Cohen, MD, FAAP, FACC, FHRS is the Co-Director of the Southern California Consortium for Technology and Innovation in Pediatrics (CTIP). He is a pediatric electrophysiologist and the Director of Cardiac Rhythm Devices at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. Dr. Bar-Cohen graduated from the Johns Hopkins University and received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his pediatric residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Boston Children’s Hospital.

He went on to complete additional subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric electrophysiology at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Bar-Cohen’s clinical and research activities have focused on heart rhythm disorders in children as well as adults with congenital heart disease. His research has addressed topics including sudden cardiac death, implantable rhythm management devices, and the catheter ablation of arrhythmias. He is a principal investigator on an NIH-funded translational project developing a fetal micropacemaker.
