Dr. Vorobeychik is Professor of Anesthesiology and Neurology and the Director of Interventional Pain Management at Hershey Medical Center (HMC) and Penn State College of Medicine. He attended medical school in Russia and worked as a neurologist in Moscow for ten years. During that time his special interest was the treatment of neuropathic pain. Upon coming to the United States, Dr. Vorobeychik completed his neurology residency at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and subsequently worked there as a faculty member of its Neurology department. Later on, he enrolled in the pain fellowship training program at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Anesthesia department. Having graduated from this program, he accepted a position at HMC Anesthesia department, where he was appointed the Director of Interventional Pain Management.
Dr. Vorobeychik is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with sub-specialization in Pain Medicine. He is an author of original research articles and book chapters. He is actively involved in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students at HMC. Dr. Vorobeychik serves as the Chair of the Spine Intervention Society Standards Division.
