Dr. Yahya Kiwan is a senior consultant interventional cardiologist with over four decades of clinical experience across the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Tunisia, and the UAE. His career has included leadership roles directing catheterisation laboratories, managing cardiology departments, and guiding cardiac intervention teams. Since 2018, Dr. Kiwan has developed a focused interest in regenerative medicine, particularly the role of stem cells in cardiology. He has contributed to this emerging field through research, authorship — including a book chapter on stem cell applications in cardiology — and his current role as a scientific adviser with the Cell Surgical Network. He regularly speaks at medical conferences and in public forums to share insights on the evolving landscape of regenerative cardiac care.
Dr. Kiwan has also held several hospital management and clinical governance positions. His work has included developing protocols, overseeing quality assurance programs, and promoting patient safety through clinical audits and risk assessments. A strong advocate for education, he remains actively involved in mentoring junior doctors and contributing to medical training initiatives. With a long-standing commitment to innovation, collaboration, and patient-centred care, Dr. Kiwan’s vision is to help establish a multidisciplinary stem cell centre that supports regenerative treatments across a wide range of medical specialties.
