Dr. Yadvinder Bhuller is a strategic, inspirational, and collaborative leader with over 20+ years of experience in the Federal regulatory approval and risk assessment/management process for therapeutic, agrochemical, and consumer products (including pharmaceuticals, disinfectants, sanitizers, prescription, OTC, natural health, and pest control products). He is also a graduate of the Government of Canada’s Scientists as Leaders and Direxion Program.
Yad’s doctoral research focused on the evolution of risk science and analysis, thereby resulting in the successful publication of open access articles providing greater clarity on the underlying risk and ethical principles along with other key attributes relevant for public health and regulatory risk decision-making. Yad continues to be part of global initiatives for developing next-generation approaches to risk decision-making. This includes being an Associate Editor with the international journal ALTA (Alternatives to Laboratory Animals) and providing regulatory advice for international, collaborative, multi-stakeholder projects (e.g., OECD, PETA International Science Consortium, HESI Global).
Yad is knowledgeable in the regulatory approaches related to human clinical trials, natural and pest control products, and has several years of experience in directing diverse teams and experts responsible for national/international initiatives such as -omics (e.g. gene drives), developing international technical guidelines, and managing global health issues.
