Mr Yacoub Khalaf qualified in Egypt (Assiut University) and completed his MD in Birmingham (UK). After completion of RCOG subspecialty training in reproductive medicine and surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital he became consultant in gynecology and reproductive medicine in 2001.

He is currently the medical director of the assisted conception unit (ACU) at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and director of the pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) programme. He is also an Honorary senior lecturer at King’s College, London.

Yacoub has published many articles in important medical journals. He is an associate editor of RBM Online Journal. He has lectured on many national and international scientific meetings as well as organising national and international training courses. He has been a chief and principal investigator of numerous clinical trials. He also supervises MD and PHD theses.
