Xueyan Chen MD, PhD

Xueyan Chen, M.D., Ph.D., is a board-certified pathologist, a UW assistant professor of Laboratory Medicine, and director of UW Medicine's Hematopathology Lab. Dr. Chen has expertise in leukemia and lymphoma diagnosis and classification. She strives to ensure every patient gets the most accurate diagnosis through cost-effective testing.

Dr. Chen earned her M.D. at Beijing Medical University and her Ph.D. at Tufts University. She is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in Hematology and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Her clinical and research interests include hematopathology, flow cytometry, molecular pathology, response and prognostication in acute myeloid leukemia, biomarkers for lymphoma diagnosis and prognosis, and cell cycle regulation.
