Xuerong Wen PhD

Dr. Xuerong Wen is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, specializing in the area of pharmacoepidemiology and health outcomes research. Dr. Wen’s research interests are applied measurement and methodologies examining the comparative effectiveness and safety of drug use in large populations. Clinical areas of her pharmacoepidemiologic studies include cardiology, nephrology, neurology, pediatrics, transplantation, and obstetrics and gynecology. Her currently funded research investigates short- and long-term teratogenic effects of medication use in pregnant women. Dr. Wen has conducted numerous clinical and community studies based on claims, registry, and clinical data using pertinent epidemiological and statistical methods; many of these have been published in high-impact journals. She had many abstracts accepted by national and international conferences for podium or poster presentations.
