Xavier Girerd MD, PhD

Doctor Xavier Girerd is a cardiologist and Professor of Therapeutics at the Pierre and Marie Curie Faculty at the University of Paris VI. He is responsible for the cardiovascular disease prevention unit in the Heart and Metabolism Center of the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital Group at the Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris, which is recognized as a Hypertension Excellence Center by the European Society of Hypertension. Currently, President of the Foundation for Research on Hypertension (FRHTA), and he was President of the French Society of Arterial Hypertension (SFHTA). He is a Full Member of the French Society of Cardiology and a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and the European Society of Hypertension (FESH).
