Xavier Deffieux MD, PhD

Xavier Deffieux is a Full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Paris (France) and head of the Gynecological Surgery Department at Antoine Béclère Hospital (Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris, Clamart). After graduation (M.D.), he specialized in obstetrics and gynecology in Paris (Gold Medal of the Surgery Residency and Fellowship Program), and obtained a Ph.D. in cognitive neurosciences. He serves on many national and international expert committees. His main research areas are pelvic organ prolapse surgery and incontinence pathophysiology. He is the author of over 200 publications and Progrès en Urologie Pelvi-Périnéologie editor-in-chief.
