Wolfgang Wick, MD, is Director of the Neurology Clinic in Heidelberg and Professor the oldest German Neurology Chair at Heidelberg University. He also serves as Director of the Neuro Oncology Program at the National Tumor Center and is appointed as Divisionhead for Neuro Oncology at the German cancer Research Center, Heidelberg, Germany. Dr. Wick is conducting phase 3 multicenter randomized trials for the Neuro-Oncology Working Group (NOA) of the German Cancer Society, the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), the NCT as well as several multicenter trials with the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Wick serves as a member of the steering committees of NOA, the European Association for Neuro-Oncology (EANO) and the EORTC Brain Tumor Group and is currently Chair of the NOA. His main scientific interests include biomarker-driven therapies, immunotherapy, as well as biology of treatment resistance. Dr. Wick has written more than 260 articles for peer-reviewed journals, including New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Lancet Oncology, Nature, Nature Medicine, Cell Stem Cells, Cancer Research, Brain, Neurology, Neuro-Oncology, Annals of Neurology, and Journal of Clinical Investigation and holds several patents in the field of Neurooncology.
