Prof Dr Wolfgang von Scheidt is Head of the Department of Cardiology, Pulmonology, Intensive Care Medicine, and Endocrinology at the University Hospital Augsburg and co-chair of the Heart Centre of Augsburg-Swabia, Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich, Munich, Germany. Specialized in heart failure, coronary atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, interventional cardiology, TAVI, and syncope, he has over 160 original works (including N Engl J Med, Circulation, JACC, Am J Physiol, J Heart Lung Transplant), 200 abstracts and 50 book chapters.
