Wolfgang H. Hartl MD

Prof. Dr. medical Wolfgang Hartl has been in surgery since 1985 and in intensive care since 1995 and has been head of the surgical intensive care unit at the clinic for general, visceral, and transplant surgery since 2003. As a member of numerous specialist societies with a focus on nutritional medicine and intensive care medicine, he is one of the German experts in this field (among other things, he is listed as a top physician). His clinical and scientific focus includes intensive care medicine, clinical nutrition, and epidemiological aspects of critically ill patients. He is one of the co-developers of mechanical renal replacement therapy and was/is a co-author of numerous guidelines on the use of adjuvant intensive care therapies.
