Dr. Winnie Pao, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and sleep medicine specialist at Cleveland Clinic's Neurological Institute. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders and cognitive disorders, with clinical expertise in obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, REM sleep behavior disorder, hypersomnolence, and neurodegenerative conditions affecting memory and cognition. Dr. Pao is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care that integrates the fields of neurology and sleep medicine to improve patients' cognitive health and quality of life.
Dr. Pao earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine after completing her undergraduate education at the University of Toronto. She completed a neurology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, followed by fellowships in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry and Sleep Medicine at Mayo Clinic. She joined the Cleveland Clinic staff in 2018 and is board-certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
