William Steele Kanich MD JD

Bill Kanich is the Chief Medical Officer for the Patient Safety Institute. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and practiced in Charleston, South Carolina, prior to moving to Atlanta. Bill functions as an advisor to other members of the Patient Safety team on medical matters. He also leads educational seminars for MagMutual policyholders. In addition to his work with the Patient Safety Institute he has been a member of the MagMutual South Carolina Claims Committee for 8 years.

Bill received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, his JD from the University of North Carolina, his MD from the Medical College of Virginia and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia.
