William J. Tremaine MD

William J. Tremaine, M.D., focuses on the clinical aspects of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, ileal pouchitis, and microscopic colitis. Dr. Tremaine is interested in the natural history, epidemiology, diagnostic studies, and medical and surgical therapy of these diseases. He works in collaboration with colleagues in the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center to study the increased risk of cancer in patients with longstanding IBD and due to immune therapy for IBD.
