Dr. William (Bill) O'Connell, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the Emory University School of Medicine. A board-certified diagnostic radiologist and interventional radiologist, Dr. O'Connell specializes in minimally invasive vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology procedures, including interventional oncology with Y90, chemoembolization, and ablation therapies. He coordinates care with oncologists at Winship to treat patients with any of the following malignancies: spinal tumors, primary liver cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, metastatic pancreatic cancer including neuroendocrine tumors, metastatic colon cancer, metastatic lung cancer, or metastatic breast cancer.

Prior to joining Emory, he practiced interventional radiology at Albert Einstein Health Network in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. O'Connell is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics research program at Winship Cancer Institute. He holds professional memberships with the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Atlanta Interventional Radiology Society, and the Radiologic Society of North America.
