Dr. William Chilian is the Chair of the Department of Integrative Medical Sciences at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He received a B.A. degree from St. Olaf College, an M.S. from Texas Tech University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri. Dr. Chilian has held faculty positions at the University of Iowa, Texas A&M University, Medical College of Wisconsin, and Louisiana State University Health Science Center. Dr. Chilian has received numerous awards including a Research Career Development Award, NIH; Distinguished Teaching Award, Texas A&M University; Kenneth A. Ardoin/Pfizer Superchair of Basic Cardiovascular Research, Louisiana State University; Outstanding Faculty Research Award and the Liebelt Award for Faculty Excellence, NEOMED; Distinguished Service Award, American Heart Association; and the Patriots Award, Department of Defense. Dr. Chilian has 160 peer-reviewed publications and editorials, and an h-index of 63 placing his contributions as unique.
