Wilfried Moreira MD, PhD

Dr. Wilfried Moreira has a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Laval University in Canada during which he was a Fellow of the Strategic Training Program in Microbial Resistance from the Canadian Institute of Health Research. His Ph.D. work focused on the antimicrobial mode of action and resistance mechanisms. He subsequently joined the National University of Singapore and the SPRINT-TB program where he led antibiotic discovery projects targeting M. tuberculosis. Wilfried joined the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology where his group research focuses on antibiotic resistance mechanisms, novel vulnerable pathways, and therapeutic approaches to antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
