Wesam Kurdi, MD, FRCOG, graduate of King Saud University, Riyadh Saudi Arabia, Arab Board for Medical Specialisation in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (OBG), November 1991, MRCOG, 1994, Fellowship Fetal Medicine (FM) at King’s College Hospital, London UK 1995, RCOG/RCR Advanced Training Programme in Obstetric Ultrasound, 1997, Diploma in FM of the Fetal Medicine Foundation, UK, London, 2005, FRCOG, 2007. She practised since 1995 as Consultant, Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSHRC), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She is the current Head of Maternal-Fetal Medicine since 2005, Director of the Saudi MFM fellowship Program till April 2016, Adjunct Professor and the Director of OBG Clerkship of AlFaisal University (AU) till current.

Her areas of interest include fetal anomalies, invasive and non-invasive prenatal diagnosis, Genetic diseases, Doppler ultrasound, Rh isoimmunization, complicated multiple pregnancies including embryo reduction, selective reduction, laser ablation for cases of TTTS, and management of TRAP. She chaired several committees in KFSHRC: Female staff support, Genetic Prenatal Diagnosis Working Group, Director of MFM fellowship at KFSH, and the committee for the development of Saudi Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship program. Dr Kurdi has organized many meetings and symposia, attended and presented hundreds of presentations to various National and International Conferences. She has over 30 approved and ongoing research projects, and over 50 paper publications and abstracts within the field of MFM. Dr Kurdi has been involved in many public education meetings, has presented many lectures to the public, participated in many life TV shows, and wrote different educational articles and leaflets in newspapers and for patient education.
