Werner G. Hosemann MD

Prof. Dr. Werner G. Hosemann is head and chairman of the Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Greifswald. He completed his medical studies at the University of Freiburg and joined the department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology at the University of Freiburg and Erlangen as a senior assistant after completing postgraduate training in the Department of Pathology and his residency at the Department of Oto- Rhino- Laryngology under the supervision of Prof. M.E. Wigand. From 1992-2001 he was vice-chairman of the Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology at the University of Regensburg.

Since 2001 he is chairman of the Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Greifswald. In 1990 he passed his Ph.D. thesis on “Wound healing of the mucosa”. Professor Hosemann’s research interests include endoscopic endonasal sinus surgery, rhinology, rhino-neurosurgery, and plastic surgery. Prof. Dr. Werner G. Hosemann is current the President of the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (2014-2015).
