Wendi A. Knapp BA, MS, MD, MA, FACP

Wendi A. Knapp, MD, MA, FACP, is a hospitalist for Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group, practicing in Santa Cruz, California, and Medical Director for the Variation Reduction Project. Previously, she was Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento.
Dr. Knapp studied medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency and a chief residency at the University of California, Davis. She initially practiced in rural Kansas, where she was clinical faculty for Kansas University and Medical Director of Community Health at Southeast Kansas, a local FQHC. Before pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Knapp was a high school teacher.
