Weiping Jia MD, PhD

Dr. Weiping Jia graduated from Shanghai Second Medical University and is now a Professor and Director of Shanghai Diabetes Institute. Professor Jia is also the Vice President of the diabetes Society of the Chinese Medical Association (CMA), the president of the Diabetes Society of the Shanghai Medical Association (SMA), the Vice President of the Endocrinology Society of SMA, member of the Internal Medicine Committee of CMA, and editors of several medical journals such as “Chinese Journal of endocrinology and Metabolism”, “Chinese Journal of internal medicine”, “Chinese Journal of Diabetes Mellitus”, etc. She is the principal investigator of more than 10 medical projects sponsored by the key project of the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Basic Research Program of China ("973 Program"), the National863 Project, and the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. Professor Jia has published more than 250 peer-reviewed original articles, reviews, and book chapters.
