Dr. El Nekidy earned his Bacheloras Degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences from Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt and his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana in the US. He also pursued a post-doctorate ASHP accredited residency at St. John Hospital & Medical Center, Detroit, MI. Dr. El Nekidy is a board certified in both Pharmacotherapy and Ambulatory Care pharmacy. Prior to a joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. El Nekidy was the nephrology clinical pharmacy specialist at Windsor Regional Hospital, Windsor, ON. Also, he is a teaching associate at Leslie Dan faculty of pharmacy, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON and Adjunct Faculty at Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI.
Dr. El Nekidy’s research interest is in drug dosing in patients with kidney diseases and has several publications in that field. Also, he is a peer reviewer for the American college of clinical pharmacy, Amb Care board preparatory course -Nephrology Chapter. In addition, he is a peer reviewer for several prestigious journals like the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (JAC), the annals of pharmacotherapy, hemodialysis international, the Canadian Journal of Hospital pharmacist, and others.
