Ward Peterson

Dr. Ward Peterson is President and CEO of Symberix, Inc. He is a pharmaceutical scientist, consultant, and entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of R&D experience in small-to-midsize biotech companies. He was formerly with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and Inspire Pharmaceuticals.

He has led cross-functional teams in the discovery and development of new therapeutics based on a wide range of biological and molecular targets, ranging from early drug discovery to clinical trials in ophthalmic, pulmonary, cardiovascular, orthopedic, oncology and GI therapeutic areas. While at Inspire, he was part of the Executive Team in raising $78M in a secondary offering. He is a co-inventor of 12 issued U.S. patents and a US patent agent. Dr. Peterson received his Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley.
