Dr. Waleed has more than 25 years of clinical experience before he joined Corniche Hospital in August 2015 as a Consultant Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Physician. He got hisM.B.B.Ch and MSc in Anesthesia degree from Alexandria University, Egypt and received his Medical Doctorate (Ph. D) from Alazhar University, Cairo, Egypt. With his dedication, he was able to attain his Arab Board, Saudi Board and King Saud University fellowship. His fellowship training in chronic pain was in The University of Toronto. He also has ambulatory anesthesia and perioperative medicine fellowships from the same university. He also has a special training in chronic pelvic pain.

He has introduced and described a new technique for ophthalmic regional block, which is easier and safer as he called it anterior orbit anesthetic technique based on the anatomical landmarks. This has been presented in all continents of the world. He also simplifies the local anesthetic block for Dacrocystorhimostomy which allow more patients to be operated as they have a great risk for general anesthesia. His expertise in his field lead him to published more than 55 articles, scientific research papers, references and studies that focus on managing pain in different medical environment. Dr. Waleed has received several awards for the best research by Canadian anesthesia society and Toronto university.
