Dr hab. Waldemar Brola, head of the Neurological Department and the Neurology Department of the Specialist Hospital of St. Łukasza in Końskie, draws attention to studies showing that the most important need of various groups of Polish patients is unlimited access to treatment. But not only.- Two years ago, together with a group of colleagues, we conducted a study to determine the most important psychological and social needs of patients in Poland (including those with multiple sclerosis - ed.) - reminds Dr. Waldemar Brola. In the foreground in this study, in addition to access to treatment, there were, among others, the possibility of direct contact with a doctor, unlimited access to advice, but also good housing conditions - lists the specialist. Patients also often emphasized the need to provide better access to rehabilitation - both institutional and rehabilitation services at home - adds Dr. Waldemar Brola. The statement was recorded during the editorial debate of Rynek Zdrowia entitled "Multiple sclerosis: where are we and where are we going?" (Warsaw, June 13, 2018).
