Dr. Vladimir S. Kosti?, born in 1953 in Belgrade. Graduated from Medical Faculty University in Belgrade (MFUB) in 1978. From 1980, employed at Neurology clinic Clinical Center of Serbia (CCS). Author and co-author in over 400 full-lenght articles: >150 scientific full-length articles published in journals cited in Current Contents, 13 chapters in international monographies and textbooks etc. Author and co-author in 6 scientific books and textbooks and editor in 13 monographies. According to ISI, he has more than 2000 citations and his articles are cited in many books and textbooks. As invited speaker he held more than 50 lectures on international meetings and universities. He was and currently is editorial board member in journal such as Movement Disorders (2004-2006), Focus on Parkinson's Disease, Acta Physiologica et Pharmacologica Iugoslavica, Polish Journal of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Romanian Journal of Neurology, Scripta Periodica (Medical University in Sofia), Serbian Archiv, Vojnosanitetski Glasnik etc. Mentor in 18 master and 18 doctoral thesis. Principal investigator in large number of scientific and basic research projects, including projects within bilateral collaboration with Italy and Slovenia. Currently principal investigator in project Clinical and Genetic Correlations of Motor and Non-Motor Features of Movement Disorders supported by Serbian Ministry of science and technological development in period from 2006 to 2010 (No. 145057), project of Scientific research fund of Serbian academy of sciences and arts (SASA) Genetic Basis of Neurodegenerative Disorders. Member of numerous national and international scientific societies, amoung which he was a member of scientific comitee of International society for movement disorders and currently is a member of European comitee of this society. In period from 2002 to 2004, he was a dean of MFUB, president of National comitee for good clinical practice guidelines (2002.-2003.), president of Master board for biomedical sciences in Serbian Ministry of science and technological development (2001-2006 and 2010-), member of National science board (2006-2010), president of Serbian neurological society since 2004, president of Council of Belgrade University (2004-2006), member of Committee for collaboration with UNESCO etc. In continuous collaboration with research groups from New York, Lubeck, Milan and Moscow. From 2000, a corresponding member and from 2006, a full member of SASA.
