Dr. Vivian Hernandez-Trujillo is a specialist in Allergy and Immunology. She had board certifications in both Pediatrics and Allergy/Immunology. She has over 15 years of experience caring for the most delicate patients. Dr. Hernandez-Trujillo received her medical degree from Albany Medical College, New York and completed a three-year pediatric residency program at Miami Children’s Hospital. She completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center.

Vivian Hernandez-Trujillo, MD, is a Clinical Associate Professor at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, in Miami, Florida. She serves as the Medical Director for the Division of Allergy and Immunology at Nicklaus Children's Hospital since 2008, along with the Program Director of the Allergy/Immunology Fellowship training program. Dr. Hernandez-Trujillo is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. She is also a member of the Florida Medical Association.

Dr. Hernandez-Trujillo is interested in education regarding pediatric allergic disease, with particular interests in the topics of food allergy, anaphylaxis, and primary immunodeficiency disorders. She lectures nationally and internationally on the topics of Pediatric Food Allergy, Anaphylaxis, Atopic Dermatitis, Asthma, and Immunodeficiency. Dr. Hernandez-Trujillo serves on numerous committees for national organizations and currently chairs the XLA Workgroup for USIDNET, a registry created by a national registry of patients with primary immunodeficiency disorders, as well as serving as part of the Immune Deficiency Foundation Medical Advisory Board.
