Vivek Verma is Senior Consultant and Head, Dept of Musculoskeletal/ Orthopedic Oncology at Max Hospitals, Patparganj, and Vaishali unit (Delhi/NCR). He is also the Founder and Director of the Vedant clinic in Ghaziabad.
He is a trained trauma and joint replacement surgeon from Madras Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (MIOT), Chennai. He also did his AO clinical fellowship in Tuebingen, Germany. After his super-specialty training in orthopedic oncology at Tata Memorial Cancer Centre, Mumbai, he established the first dedicated orthopedic oncology unit at Max healthcare in Delhi and at Max Hospitals, Dehradun.
He is a visiting faculty at a charitable cancer trust Hospital ( Mahavir Cancer Sansthan) in Patna ( Bihar), Ranchi (Jharkhand), and Uttarakhand. He is also a regularly invited faculty at many private and government medical Colleges and institutes like RML, Hindu Rao, Sir Gangaram, TMU, Jolly Grant, etc. he is also a faculty at "Conceptual Orthopaedics", the learning app for orthopedics.
His area of interest primarily involves the management of bone and soft tissue tumors, metastatic bone diseases, skin malignancies, complex reconstruction surgeries for bone defects, complex trauma, joint replacement, revision for failed prosthesis, and revision arthroplasty.
Dr. Verma owes his credit for performing many complex limb salvage surgeries in bone/ soft tissue cancer and complex joint reconstructions in Indian and International patients. He is keenly interested in the adoption of the latest technology like the use of expandable implants in children, 3-D implants and zigs, computer navigation, and the use of minimally invasive techniques to achieve better functional and survival outcomes in his patients.
