Vincenzo Mirone (Naples, January 4, 1953) is an Italian doctor, who specialized in urology, general surgery, and andrology. In 1993 he obtained the diploma of Specialist in Andrology at the School of Specialization in Andrology of Pisa directed by Prof. Fabrizio Menchini Fabris. In November 1985 he obtained, with full marks and honors, the diploma of Specialist in General Surgery at the Surgical Clinic of the II Faculty of Medicine of Naples, directed by Prof. Lucio Zannini. His surgical activity focuses on oncological pathologies (particularly prostate cancer and bladder cancer) and andrological surgery, for which he specializes in nerve-sparing surgery for prostate cancer and radical surgery for bladder cancer. as well as in penile prosthetic implantology and transsexualism surgery . Vincenzo Mirone has a very high-profile international experience in basic research on male and female sexual dysfunctions and in particular his collaboration with the Nobel Prize for Medicine Luis Ignarro.
