Vincent James Patalano Ii MD

Dr. Vincent James Patalano II a physician-leader, is currently Chief of Ophthalmology at the Cambridge Health Alliance (a Harvard Medical School-affiliated provider network, hospital system, and public health commission). He is also a practicing ophthalmologist specializing in small-incision cataract surgery.

For 20 years, He had been responsible for The CHA Eye Centers in Somerville and Malden (Massachusetts) which have over 30,000 patient visits a year, generating over 750 ophthalmic surgeries. He had enjoyed many years as an educator of medical school students and ophthalmic surgery residents, with an interest in public health, both here in the U.S. and abroad, he performed volunteer cataract surgery in Ghana, West Africa. Additionally, and having an interest in the development of new medical technologies. He performed as a physician-mentor with the Camera Culture group of the M.I.T. Media Lab working with engineering students in India, and also with eMed Events, the online platform for continuing medical education courses.
