Vikas Gupta

Dr. Vikas Gupta is practicing as a Senior Consultant, Department of Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery at Medanta Bone & Joint Institute. Previously he was Associate Professor at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (A.I.I.M.S.) He has more than 3,000 successful hand & upper extremity surgeries to his credit & has pioneered in many procedures which were introduced by him.

Dr. Gupta has been the first person to perform Total Wrist replacement (ceramic on ceramic) in India. He started fixation of hand and wrist fractures with locking plates in India. He was first to start percutaneous fixation and vascularised bone grafting for nonunion scaphoid and keinbocks disease in country. He has more than 40 publications in national and international journals and more than 100 presentations in national and international conferences. He lectured at the annual conference of Bangladesh orthopedic society on “congenital anomalies of hand”.
