Vijay Bulusu is a leader with successful experience in driving transformational change in large organizations. He has a proven track record in creating and implementing large, global programs in innovation and information management. He is a reputed expert in the application of data and digital technologies to business problems, particularly in the healthcare and life sciences domain. Vijay is a thought leader with experience in bringing together multiple disciplines together to drive radical innovation. In his current role as the Head of Data and Digital Innovation in WRD at Pfizer, he leads the creation and execution of global information management, knowledge sharing, and innovation programs supporting chemical synthesis, formulation development, analytical research, and clinical manufacturing.

He leads a cross-functional team that focuses on solving scientific challenges to accelerate drug discovery and development using advanced data and digital technologies such as Big Data, semantic technologies, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data visualization tools. Past and ongoing work includes: Design and implementation of Scientific Data Cloud - a best-in-class data management and analytics platform for scientific and manufacturing data, Machine Learning for organic synthesis, augmented reality for manufacturing, internal innovation space, predictive science, interactive voice, and wearable devices for labs. These programs blend recent advances in consumer technology, informatics, engineering, and creative thinking to develop innovative solutions. Prior to joining Pfizer, he has held senior-level positions with global software services companies where he was involved in structuring global technology contracts and managing large program implementations and rollouts.
