Victoria E. Claydon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. She is also a Principal Investigator with the ICORD spinal cord injury centre and an Affiliated Investigator with the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute.

Her research interests are focused on human cardiovascular control in health and disease. She main research contributions have addressed cardiovascular reflex control in response to spinal cord injury; chronic hypoxia and hypocapnia due to permanent residence at high altitude; and orthostatic stress. The courses she typically teaches are BPK305 Human Physiology; BPK444 Cardiac Disease; BPK801 Research Involving Human Participants. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Physiology, HNC in Medical Physics and PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine.

She is a UK State-Registered Clinical Physiologist and Certified Cardiographer with the Society for Cardiological Science and Technology. I am certified in venepuncture, CPR-C, AED, and Emergency First Aid (Health Care Providers). She is currently seeking graduate research students to undertake Master's or Doctoral level research examining the cardiovascular autonomic consequences of spinal cord injury. Opportunities investigating the pathophysiological basis for syncopal events are also available.
