Dr Victor Fung is Clinical Associate Professor at Sydney Medical School, The University of Sydney and Director of the Movement Disorders Unit and Co-Director of the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Research Centre, Department of Neurology, Westmead Hospital. He is Chair of the Congress Scientific Program Committee and serves on the International Executive Committee and Education Committee of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (IPMDS) and has previously served on its Bylaws Committee, Web Editorial Board and as Secretary of the Asian & Oceanian Section (AOS) of the IPMDS as well as on the AOS Executive and Education Committees. He is on the Education Committee of the World Federation of Neurology Parkinson’s Disease Research Group, the Asian Oceanian Association of Neurology Education Committee, and the Asia Pacific Affairs Committee of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists, and is a past-President of the Movement Disorder Society of Australia (MDSA). He was the founding Chairperson of the MDSA Clinical Research and Trials Group from 2001-2007 and on the Management Board of Neuroscience Trials Australia from 2003-2007. He is a member of the Parkinson's Australia Scientific Committee and Parkinson's NSW Advisory Board. He is on the Editorial Board of Movement Disorders, the Journal of Clinical Movement Disorders, Movement Disorders Clinical Practice, F1000 Research, and Basal Ganglia. He has a clinical and research interest in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders.
