Victor A. Ferrari, MD, FSCMR, FACC, FAHA, FASE is a Professor of Medicine in the Departments of Medicine and Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) School of Medicine, the inaugural Chair of the Penn Cardiovascular Imaging Council, the immediate past Director of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) for the Penn Cardiovascular Institute, and the former Interim Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at the Hospital of the UPenn. He took his BSEE at Drexel University and his MD, residency, and cardiology/CMR fellowships at UPenn. As a faculty member at Penn, he has won 5 teaching awards from the Department of Medicine house staff and cardiology fellows, including the Donald B. Martin Teaching Service Award, the Francis H. Sterling Award for Educational Excellence, and the Mark E. Josephson Cardiovascular Medicine Faculty Distinguished Teaching Award.
