Vicent Quilis Quesada MD, PhD

Dr. Vicent Quilts-Quesada, MD, Ph.D. is a Neurosurgeon at the Department of Neurosurgery-University Clinic Hospital of Valencia (Spain), Associate Professor of Neuro-anatomy at Department of Anatomy and Embryology- University of Valencia Medical School (Spain), and co-director of the Surgical Neuro-anatomy Laboratory at the University of Valencia Medical School (Spain). Prior to joining the staff of the Department of Neurosurgery at University Clinic Hospital of Valencia (Spain), Dr. Quilis-Quesada completed a fellowship in cerebrovascular surgery and microsurgical neuroanatomy (2008) at the gicas de Sao Paulos neurolituteospital Cly- Hospital ClNeurocirugones de neurocirujanos alrededor del mundo. Por todo ello solo Instituto de Ciencias neurológicas de Sao Paulo (ICNE) - under the direction of Prof. Evandro de Oliveira MD, Ph.D.- a fellowship in cerebrovascular surgery (2010) at the Arkansas Neuroscience Institute (ANI)-under the direction of Prof. Ali F. Krisht, MD - a fellowship in microsurgical neuroanatomy at Prof. Rhoton's Laboratory in Gainesville (University of Florida-2014) and completed his Ph.D. degree at the University of Valencia - Department of Surgery - under the direction of Prof. Evandro de Oliveira MD, Ph.D., and JM González-Darder MD, Ph.D., and the mentoring of Albert L. Rhoton, Jr., MD (University of Florida) (2014). Dr. Quilis-Quesada, received his medical degree from the University of Valencia School of Medicine (1998-2004) (Spain) and completed his neurological surgery residency at University Clinic Hospital of Valencia (2005-2010). Dr. Quilis-Quesada's clinical focus is cerebrovascular and skull base microsurgery. His research interests lie in the study of surgical neuroanatomy, neuro-oncology, and the application of innovative techniques into the operating room. He has published scientific peer-review papers, written chapters and books in neuroanatomy and microsurgical approaches, and has lectured at national and international scientific meetings and professional courses, especially those directed by Prof. Evandro de Oliveira MD, Ph.D. The Surgical Neuroanatomy Lab that he co-directs has a dual educational and research role aiming to improve surgical techniques and outcomes by mastering knowledge of relevant surgical neuroanatomy. Many national and international physicians have conducted training and research at the Surgical Neuroanatomy Laboratory-University of Valencia - School of Medicine. In addition to his clinical and research activities, Dr.Quilis-Quesada is greatly devoted to teaching and educating neuroanatomy and microsurgical techniques at the University of Valencia School of Medicine, University Clinic Hospital of Valencia, and local, national, and international venues.
