Veronique Leblond, Professor in Hematology, is the Head of the Department of Hematology at Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris, France. She is the Chair of “French cooperative group on chronic lymhocytic leukemia and Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia: FCG CLL-WM” including more than 90 centres in France and Belgium (FCG CLL-WM).
She is responsible for a rare tumor network (K-VIROGREF) dedicated to the management of transplant recipients with virus-induced tumors and funded by l’Institut du Cancer (INCA) in 2012. The team historically focuses more specifically on chronic B-cell lymphoproliferative disorders [Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia (WM)], amyloidosis (Expert center), on ocular and CNS lymphoma (Expert center) and on lymphoproliferations in immunosuppressed patients (HIV, organ transplanted patients). She is the Head of GRECHY (Groupe de Recherche Clinique Hémopathie Lymphoïde, UPMC Paris VI) affiliated to the PhD school called ED394 “Physiology & Physio-pathology”.
She is a member of the French society of Hematology and the American Society of Hematology Since 1995, she has been involved in WM field. Veronique is an author of over 250 research articles, books and book chapters.
