Veronica C. Gillispie BS, MD

Dr. Veronica Gillispie is a Board Certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist who practices at Ochsner Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. She earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee in 2004. She went on to complete her residency training at Ochsner Health System in 2008. During her training, Dr. Gillispie served as Administrative Chief Resident.

Clinically, Dr. Gillispie provides obstetric care to low, moderate, and high risk patients as well as gynecology patients of all ages. Dr. Gillispie performs advanced laparoscopic and robotic assisted laparoscopic procedures. She has a special clinical interest in treatment options for women who suffer from symptoms related to fibroids. As such, she serves as the Director of the Center for the Minimally Invasive Treatment of Uterine Fibroids, an integrated, collaborative effort to provide women with minimally invasive treatment options for symptoms related to fibroids, and is the Principal Investigator for a national Phase 3 Clinical Trial for a medication for treatment of symptoms related to fibroids.
