Verity Pacey PhD

Verity is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Health Sciences within the Faculty of Medicine, Health & Human Sciences at the Macquarie University. Verity has over 15 years of experience as a clinical physiotherapist and supervises students and clinicians undertaking higher degree research. Her experience as a professional practitioner underpins her teaching philosophy and research objectives. Verity is considered an international leader in the physiotherapy management of individuals with Connective Tissue Dysplasias. She is an invited speaker at both national and international levels within her area of expertise: rare and complex conditions in pediatrics, focusing on physical activity, function, and quality of life. Her teaching excellence has also been acknowledged having been awarded a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
