Verity Elizabeth Schaye MD, MHPE

Dr. Verity Schaye is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine. She completed her medical degree and residency in internal medicine at NYU School of Medicine and her Masters in Health Professions Education from Maastricht Univeristy/NYU School of Medicine. She has served as the Hospitalist Director at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue since 2017. She is also involved in medical education across the continuum as the Associate Director of Curricular Innovation in the Institute for Innovations in Medical Education, a Firm Chief in the Medicine Clerkship, and as a Farber Faculty Scholar in the Education for Educators Faculty Development Program in the Department of Medicine. Her academic and research focus is in developing and evaluating best practices to teach and assess clinical reasoning and she is currently a Fellow in Diagnostic Excellence in the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine.
