Dr. Venkatesan Srinivasan is a renowned Clinical Oncologist, Radiation Oncologist based in Chennai having more than a decade of experience in treating cancer through modern Radiation Therapy, Chemotherapy, Combination Chemotherapy and Palliative Therapy. Presently Dr. Venkatesan Srinivasan is practicing as a Senior Consultant, Clinical Oncologist and Heading the department of Radiation Oncology and Clinical Research at Dr. Kamakshi Memorial Hospital, Chennai. He is also attached to Dr. MGR Medical University, Tamilnadu as a faculty member where he is involved in the training and teaching activities of medical professionals and students. Prior to joining Kamakshi Memorial Hospital. Dr. V. Srinivasan was associated with many distinguished cancer hospitals such as Curie Center of Oncology, Apollo Specialty Hospitals, St. Thomas Hospital and Dr. Rai Memorial hospital.
Dr. V. Srinivasan started his academic career in the year 1993 by pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery followed by M.D in Radiotherapy (1999) from Madras Medical College, Chennai. Additionally, he acquired M.C.C.P (1996) from an esteemed National college of Chest physician in Delhi and had undergone Fellowship program in Palliative Medicine from Calicut University (2005). Dr. V. Srinivasan has been awarded with many prominent fellowships like Dr. Frank Neal / Dr. C.D. Joseph Fellowship at Apollo Specialty Hospital in Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (2004-05), Brachytherapy Fellowship at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Australia (2006), and Bursary Award for fellowship in Palliative Medicine at St. Christopher’s Hospice, London, UK (2007). He holds lifetime memberships of Indian Medical Association, Indian society of Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Association of Radiation Oncologists of India and many other highly prestigious societies at both National and International level.
