Dr. Vasiliki Bitzas, Ph.D., RN, CHPCN(C) has specialized in palliative care, both as a clinician and as an administrator. Her research interests include understanding the patients’ experience of transitioning to end of life, the use of interpretive phenomenology in the context of palliative care, patient satisfaction and quality of life at the end of life, nurses engagement with patients who desire death, and end of life education needs of non-specialist palliative care nurses.
