Mr. Vasileios Minas, PhD, MRCOG, is a Gynaecologist specializing in the multidisciplinary management of severe endometriosis.

His NHS appointment is at St. Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, an internationally acknowledged Endometriosis Centre and one of the largest in the UK.

He practices in the private sector at the Runnymede (Surrey), Woking Nuffield (Surrey) and Lister (London) hospitals. He specialises in the treatment of Endometriosis and pelvic pain and benign gynaecological conditions including heavy periods, abnormal bleeding, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and polyps.

Vasileios trained in Oxford Deanery during his core training years. He was then awarded 1 of the 5 nationally available training posts in the UK in 2012, in the prestigious training programme of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for the Excision of Benign Disease. He was placed at the Wirral University Teaching Hospital, one of the largest centres in the English North for advanced laparoscopic and robotic gynaecological surgery.

He is one of the few first surgeons in the UK to have completed this training programme.

Vasileios offers a holistic approach taking into account his patients' quality of life, family and work circumstances. He offers both medical and surgical treatment options and provides his patients with all the information they need to make an informed choice of their treatment plan.

Vasileios has a keen interest in research and training. He has published approximately 40 articles in peer-reviewed international journals. He has received several national and international awards and scholarships for his academic work and he regularly presents at national and international meetings. He is the College Tutor for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at St. Peter's Hospital and through this role, he is responsible for securing a safe and positive learning environment for doctors in training.
