Vari Mcpherson CPO, FAAOP

Vari is an ABC Certified and Illinois Licensed Orthotist and Prosthetist and serves as the Clinical Practice Leader for the Prosthetic and Orthotic Clinical Center (POCC) at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. Vari is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics (AAOP). She joined Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in 2008 and continues to serve orthotic clients in an outpatient and Day Rehabilitation setting involving various levels of clinical care.

Her clinical background includes neuromuscular and orthopedic areas in pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Vari has contributed to various research projects with the Center of Bionic Medicine (CBM) and Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research (CROR). She has served as the AAOP President Chapter Chair for the Membership Advisory Council, as a Board Member and Past President of the Midwest Chapter for AAOP, and continues to participate as a member of AAOP. Vari continues to collaborate with the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Academy in education and enjoys mentoring orthotic residents in the POCC residency program.
