Vania Regina De Assis biologist, physiologist, and herpetologist exploring the interrelationships between stress, behavior, and immunity. She graduated in Biological Sciences - Licentiate, from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho (Unesp - 2007), Master in Sciences (General Physiology) from the University of São Paulo (USP - 2010). Ph.D. in Sciences (General Physiology) from the University of Sao Paulo (USP - 2015). Post-Doctor at the University of São Paulo (USP - 2020). She is Experience in Physiology, with an emphasis on Comparative Physiology, mainly on the following topics: Ecoimmunology, Stress, Endocrinology, Conservation, Behavior, Reproduction, and Immunity. She uses different approaches, such as transdermal application of corticosterone, to simulate changes related to increased corticosterone in events of acute stress, restraint challenge, and immunological challenges
