Vance R. Lassey MD

Dr. Vance Lassey has lived and worked in the Holton community for 10 years. He earned dual undergraduate degrees from the University of Kansas before attaining his M.D. from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He served as Chief Resident of the Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency Program in Salina, Kansas where he received awards for teaching, writing, and the prestigious national Bristol Myers Squibb Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education.

In 2007, Dr. Lassey accepted a position with Holton Community Hospital / Family Practice Associates in Holton, Kansas, where he worked for over 8 years practising full-spectrum family medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Kansas Academy of Family Physicians (where he is a former board member) and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Lassey also serves as the chairman of the KDHE Newborn Screening Advisory Council, is a member of the Northeast Kansas Board of Health, and is a past member of the Governor's Fitness Council.
